Dr. Svetlana Bogaert, plastic and hand surgeon in Brussels, graduated in medicine from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2015. She completed her specialization in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at UHC Tivoli La Louvière, Delta Hospital, UHC Erasme, UHC of Bordeaux (2015-2021). She currently works at Erasme Hospital, Ixelles Hospital, Centre Medical du Parc and Walzin Medical Center.
In addition to her training in general plastic surgery, Dr. Svetlana Bogaert has specialized during her university career in hand surgery (fellow-ship in elective and traumatic hand surgery in Geneva - Switzerland in 2021-2022), post-cancer skin reconstructive surgery, microsurgery and aesthetic treatments.
Dr. Svetlana Bogaert has obtained various certifications:
- Microsurgery diplomas (Diplôme de microchirurgie at Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in 2018 and Diplôme Universitaire de Microchirurgie in 2020 at CHU Bordeaux in 2020);
- Specialist diploma in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at ULB in 2021;
- Diploma from the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum (CCP) in 2021;
- Belgian inter-university diploma in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery in 2022;
- Certificate in Radioprotection 2023, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB)
- Diploma of the European Hand Surgery Examination FESSH (Federation of European Societies of Hand Surgery) in 2024.
Dr. Bogaert is a member of the Belgian Hand Group and the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic Surgery (RBSPS).
She welcomes you for general plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery or hand surgery consultations in French or English. Depending on your preferences and the nature of the procedure, it can be performed directly at the Centre Médical Walzin or organized in the operating room at Erasme Hospital, Ixelles Hospital or Centre Médical du Parc.
