Dr Marina Emmanouilidou graduated with high distinction from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed her speciality in cardiology in Brussels, Luxembourg (Université Libre de Bruxelles, ULB) and Athens (Onassis Heart Surgery Centre).
In addition to her skills in general cardiology and cardiac ultrasound, Dr Marina Emmanouilidou is a specialist in the management of acute and chronic heart failure. During her training, she worked at the Erasmus University Hospital in Brussels where she collaborated with the heart failure and transplant team. She also worked in the cardiology department of the Centre Hospitalier of Luxembourg in Luxembourg City where she participated in the Heart Failure Clinic. She graduated from the University of Paris-Descartes in Heart Failure Management in 2020.
Currently, Dr. Marina Emmanouilidou is resident in the cardiology department at the university hospital "Saint-Pierre" in Brussels. She is interested in the effects of exercise on the cardiovascular system and is currently subspecialising in cardiac rehabilitation. Her area of expertise includes diseases of the valves, heart muscle and arteries
Dr. Emmanouilidou is available at the Walzin Medical Centre for general cardiology consultations, such as: management of high blood pressure, heart failure and coronary artery disease, preoperative check-ups, and preventive cardiology.
Dr Emmanouilidou is a member of the Heart Failure Association (HFA), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the Young Cardiologists' Club.
