aesthetic dermatology

Various treatments can be used to reshape certain parts of the face, reduce imperfections and improve skin quality. They are becoming increasingly popular for their effectiveness and natural results, without the need for surgery or prolonged social exclusion.

Dr Elodie Bonné offers a personalised approach combining these different techniques, while respecting your unique anatomy and objectives.

- Botulinum toxin injections relax some of the muscles, helping to reduce and prevent certain wrinkles. It has different trade names depending on the pharmaceutical company that produces it (Azzalure®, Botox®, Bocouture®, etc.). The effect is transitory and lasts from 4 to 6 months.

The most common indications in aesthetic medicine are: forehead and eyebrow wrinkles ("frown lines"), "crow's feet", the corner of the mouth to treat the bitterness fold, the neck to reduce plastymal cords, eyebrow lifting, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the armpits or hands), bruxism (injection into the jaw muscle).

- Hyaluronic acid is recognised as the reference product used in medical volumetric filling and rejuvenation. The possibility of injecting it in different forms of more or less cohesive gels enables its qualities to be used to best effect:

  • Hydration and treatment of superficial wrinkles: injection of very fluid hyaluronic acid rehydrates and plumps up the skin. This can be used to treat fine lines and reduce certain scars (acne, chicken pox, trauma, etc.). Some of these hyaluronic acids can also stimulate the production of natural collagen, they are called Skinboosters

  • Filling: the aim is to fill in furrows, folds and wrinkles. Among the most frequently performed corrections are nasolabial folds, bitterness folds, labiomental folds, etc.

  • Restoring volume: hyaluronic acid injections correct age-related loss of volume and treat certain effects of ageing. The deep-injected product restores facial support and helps to correct sagging features, especially in the initial stages. They can also be used to correct / embellish a lack of volume or support unrelated to ageing. These treatments can be applied to dark circles, the chin, the contours of the mandible, the cheeks, the nose, the cheekbones, the temporal fossa, the lips, etc.

- Sculptra® contains PLLA particles which are injected into the deep dermis and recruit fibroblasts to produce collagen. It is therefore your own collagen that is stimulated. The skin's mesh is tightened, with a tensing, lifting and plumping effect. It is particularly suitable for people who want gradual, natural and lasting results.

- Chemical peels involve applying one or more active ingredients to the skin to exfoliate one or more layers of skin, thereby regenerating the epidermis and stimulating the dermis (thickness and elasticity). They are indicated for the prevention or treatment of photo-ageing, to give the skin a radiant glow, to reduce hyperpigmentation, etc.

- Energy-based devices also play an important role in dermatology:

  • Other devices such as the IPL-Sq® ETHERA MX™ can be used to treat rosacea and pigment spots and induce photorejuvenation

A consultation is essential before any aesthetic treatment to:

- check the correct indication and prepare a personalised treatment plan
- inform you about the expected result and possible side effects
- give you an informed consent form (legal obligation)
